I have fallen in love with Pinterest. Deeply, madly, joyously in love with Pinterest. It has become a longer relationship, we go back almost a year now. Eons in internet terms, especially given my distractibility factor. It still has not replaced Facebook, but I can have many loves. Monogamy is overrated, anyway. (Oh, please don’t tell my husband I said that.)
My Pinterests vary — from crafts, to cooking, to kids. I follow a lot of teachers, to get early childhood ideas for Picasso and Cassatt. I am more creative due to Pinterest, and so much happier that way. I take selfish pride in the fact that friends say my boards are worth stalking. (Doesn’t everyone need their ego fed somehow?) I love learning new things, and knowing I can go back to something “when I have more time.” (Don’t ask me when that will be, I think time will have to stop for that to happen. But someday.) I find new blogs, and projects to love.
My favorite thing on Pinterest? I love to go to my main page and see what other people are pinning. It sends me on a whole new adventure on the web!
