Rice Krispies Treats

Picasso and I made Rice Krispies Treats after school one day this week.  It was more work to get started than I thought, because I had to find a day when we weren’t otherwise busy and he wasn’t too tired or cranky to help!

I got the ingredients ready before he got home from preschool.

I melted 3 Tablespoons of butter, then added 4 cups of marshmallows.

Picasso stirred the marshmallows until all the “bumps” were out.

We then added 6 cups of Rice Krispies, a cup at a time.   Lots of stirring to do!

At last, the final product.  They needed chocolate sprinkles this week.

This is the standard recipe, which I got here.  I have to admit, though, that I made them because we love rice krispy treats — so much that I’m trying to win a House Party to make Halloween ones!
