21 Day Challenge: Positive Thinking

What’s amazing and has two thumbs?
This Guy!

Where we live, jokes are standard on Halloween night.  Most of them are rated for third-grade joke books, but this one caught my attention — especially on the day when the topic of 21 Days to a More Disciplined Life was Positive Thinking.

Negative thoughts seem to be my specialty.  They keep me down and prevent me from taking risks.  But if I look back in my life, at the decisions I would change if I could, they all involve “small thinking.”  Decisions I made in part because I didn’t think I deserved something better.

Crystal put this video as one of the assignments for today.  It’s a 3 minute video, watch it.  Over and over, Art Williams, founder of Primerica, emphasizes that whatever needs to be done, “do it.”

So for today, I will work to change my thinking. Rather than “I can’t” or “I’ll try”, I will say “I can” and “I will”.  I will dream bigger dreams, and work to accomplish them.  As I work on a more disciplined life, I do not see much progress … until I look back on how far I have come in just one week.  I will just do it, day by day.
